Brief History
On July 17, 1950, the Wyoming Motor Court Association was formed in Casper to provide a statewide voice of advocacy for Wyoming’s growing lodging industry. The Association changed its name to the Wyoming Motel Association in the 1960s and was merged with Colorado for several years. In the 1980s’s The Association changed its name again, to the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association and in 1995 The Wyoming Travel Industry Coalition was formed. Now, 72 years later, we proudly evolve again as the Wyoming Hospitality and Travel Coalition!

Mission Statement
The mission of the Wyoming Hospitality and Travel Coalition is to enhance the business climate, profit and economic impact of Wyoming’s hospitality, travel and tourism industries. We accomplish this through government affairs, education and communication and act as the voice for hospitality, travel, and tourism on all related matters.

What to Expect
For more than 70 years, our associations have prioritized advocacy, education, and communication to protect, promote and grow Wyoming's hospitality and travel industry. We have passed legislation that has and will continue to grow the number of customers coming through your doors and we have advocated for changes that bring more revenue to your bottom line. We are your “one-stop shop” for all industry-related challenges and are just a phone call away. Our collective voices represent the entire hospitality and travel industry. Our association has always been and will always be member-driven.

Bright Future!
Hospitality and Tourism is Wyoming’s second largest industry and largest private sector employer, generating more than $260 million in local and state tax revenues and more than 33,000 full and part-time jobs. Our associations have always recognized that standing together as one unified industry gives us the most strength. Under one unified banner, the Wyoming Hospitality and Travel Coalition is THE leading voice of hospitality and travel in Wyoming.
Throughout the year our members receive communication through our website, social media platforms, e-newsletter, custom email blasts and calls to action.
